The Application of a Face Recognition System For a Personal face Database

open access: yesวารสารวิทยาการสารสนเทศและเทคโนโลยีประยุกต์, 2021
This study aimed to apply face recognition of the personal face detection, which this system implemented Eigenface to analyze face details in facial comparison database. Eigenface is an approach in the theory of principal component analysis (PCA)

Parent Quality of Life at Two Years Following Their Child's Completion of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Treatment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Parents of children treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often experience significant caregiver burden and disruption to their well‐being. While parent quality of life (QoL) during treatment is well characterized, little is known about outcomes during early survivorship.

Evaluation of the Utility of Baseline Echocardiogram in Patients With Standard Risk Precursor B‐Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
Abstract Background A routine baseline echocardiogram is often obtained prior to anthracycline administration in children with cancer. The utility of baseline echocardiogram is unclear in patients with standard risk B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (SR B‐ALL) as their anthracycline cumulative dose is low.

Upacicalcet: A Novel Intravenous Calcimimetic Agent for Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Secondary Hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.

A drowsiness detection method based on displacement and gradient vectors [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2018
This paper presents a drowsiness detection method for drivers based on visual features in a video sequence. Image intensities are traditionally visual features. However, it is known that they are directly influenced by lighting conditions. We propose a

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

An Anomaly Detection Approach to Face Spoofing Detection: A New Formulation and Evaluation Protocol

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Face spoofing detection is commonly formulated as a two-class recognition problem where relevant features of both positive (real access) and negative samples (spoofing attempts) are utilized to train the system. However, the diversity of spoofing attacks,

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Face detection hindering [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP), 2017
In this paper, we develop a face detection hindering method, as a means of preventing the threats to people's privacy, automatic video analysis may pose. Face detection in images or videos is the first step in human-centered video analysis to be followed, e.g. by automatic face recognition.
