Research on the Abrasive Machining of Face Gear

According to the forming theory of face gear’s teeth surface, abrasive machining of face gear was studied through establishing abrasive machining coordinating system. The movement of every device of the grinding machine for face gear’s abrasive machining was also analyzed.

Design and Geometry of Face-Gear Drives

The authors have developed the analytical geometry of face-gear drives, proposed the method for localization of bearing contact, developed computerized simulation of meshing and bearing contact, investigated the influence of gear misalignment on the shift of bearing contact and transmission errors. Application for design is discussed.

The Research on Generation of Arc Face-Gears

By a study on the theory of generation processing arc face-gears, a machining method was designed by generation characteristics on the arc face-gears pairs. Based on coordinate transformation principle and meshing equation, the arc tooth surface equations were derived and corresponding 3D model was build.
