System-structural approach to improving the design of cutting tools
This article presents a systematic analysis, which involves the study of a cutting tool, its elements, and the relationships between them. An element-by-element analysis of the operating conditions of face mills is presented, where such components as the

Data on the mechanical properties of recycled wind turbine blade composites
Wind turbine blades that face end-of-life recycled mechanically. The recycled material was first comminuted via a hammer-mill through a range of varying screen sizes, resonated (polymeric Methylene diphenyl isocyanate (pMDI)) and then hand-formed and hot

Surface Roughness Modelling in Face Milling
AbstractThe ability to plan the quality of surfaces is very important in manufacturing due to the fulfillment of requirements for parts machined by different methods. A method and a modelling procedure are introduced in the paper based on the definition of the relations between the calculated theoretical and the measured real roughness values of ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Optimization of the ball mill processing parameters in the fat filling production [PDF]
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the main milling variables, i.e., agitator shaft speed (50, 75 and 100%, which is 25, 37.5 and 50 rpm) and milling time (30, 45 and 60 min) on physical and sensory properties of fat filling, as well as

Utilizing TiC Cermet in Face-Milling
A higher production rate of face-milling will be realized if a more abrasion resistant but less tough tool material can be used without breakage. For this purpose, titanium carbide cermet tool material is studied for utilization in steel face-milling. The main problem is to provide the effective land and the proper rake angle to the cutting edge.
