The Journal of the American Dental Association, 1990
A case of monostotic, mandibular fibrous dysplasia has been described in a 22-year-old Amerasian male, who had facial asymmetry of approximately 5 years' duration. Foci of ill-defined sclerotic, pagetoid calcifications were seen on routine film. The CT scans demonstrated bone facial and slight lingual expansion of bone with thinning of the cortex.

Management of Facial Asymmetry
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America, 2007Asymmetries of the craniofacial region encompass a multitude of diverse and potentially complex abnormalities that may be the result of numerous causes. The expression and degree of asymmetry for a given condition, although a highly variable process, is the ultimate determinant of the nature of its treatment.

Facial asymmetry versus facial makeup
2018 IEEE 8th Annual Computing and Communication Workshop and Conference (CCWC), 2018Variations in facial appearance resulting from the application of ordinary makeup products, such as eyeliner and lipstick, are challenging for automated facial recognition. This work studies the potential of using the measurement of the inherent asymmetry between the two halves of a person's face presented in [18] as a helpful feature to overcome this ...

Primate Experiments on Facial Asymmetry
Journal of Dental Research, 1970A primate model was developed for testing the response of a normal structure to an abnormal environment. Facial asymmetry after experimental maxillary displacement did not extend to the zygoma. Significant changes occurred in the development of the maxilla, the nasal cavity, and the position and occlusion of the dentition.

Epidermal Cyst Causing Facial Asymmetry
Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2013Epidermoid cysts are rare benign tumors that are derived from the development of abnormally situated ectodermal tissue and are often an incidental finding. They are usually diagnosed between 15 and 50 years of age, with both sexes equally affected. In epidermoid cyst management, complete excision is the therapy of choice. The authors reported a case of

Hypertrichosis “cubiti” with facial asymmetry
American Journal of Medical Genetics, 1994AbstractHypertrichosis of the elbow region may be the only abnormality in hypertrichosis cubiti (hairy elbow syndrome). Only 6 cases have been reported; 2 Amish sibs also had additional short stature and, in the most recent case report, a patient had asymmetry of the face, generalized hypotonia, ptosis, epicanthic folds, highly arched palate, and ...

Facial Asymmetries and Mandibular Displacements
British Journal of Orthodontics, 1974The paper is divided into two parts. In the first part Facial Asymmetries are classified with special reference to the mandible, and mandibular displacements. In the second part the diagnosis of mandibular displacement associated with facial asymmetry is discussed, including the clinical and radiographic interpretation and the treatment problems ...
