An intense and widespread interest has been manifested in the disease described by Parry, in 1825, and by Romberg, in 1846, and named by Eulenburg, in 1871, progressive facial hemiatrophy. In recent years many articles have appeared on this subject in English, German and French. Among these the monographic work of Archambault and Fromm 1 is outstanding.
