Purification of human factor IX
Thrombosis Research, 1977Abstract Factor IX was isolated from human plasma by a six-step procedure employing adsorption to DE-52 cellulose in batches, aluminium hydroxide adsorption, affinity chromatography on heparin-coupled Sepharose, preparative polyacrylamide disc gel electrophoresis, immunosorbent absorption, and DE-52 cellulose chromatography.

Pharmacokinetics of factor VIII and factor IX
Haemophilia, 2003Summary. A survey of principal pharmacokinetic (PK) studies on factor VIII (FVIII) and factor IX (FIX) plasma‐ and rDNA‐derived concentrates, analysed by means of the PKRD program, has been performed. Notwithstanding the accurate definition of the study design, released in 1991 by the Scientific and Standardization Committee of the International ...

Activation of Factor IX by Factor XIa
Trends in Cardiovascular Medicine, 2000Blood coagulation factor IX is activated during hemostasis by two distinct mechanisms. Activation through factor VIIa/tissue factor occurs early in the course of fibrin clot formation. Activation by factor XIa appears to be important for maintaining the integrity of the clot over time.

Factor IX activity and factor IX antigen in haemophilia B carriers
Thrombosis Research, 1975Abstract Examinations performed on the female relatives of haemophilia B patients suggest that factor IX activity is significantly reduced in the carriers of haemophilia B. In the carriers of haemophilia B− the amount of factor IX antigen is in correlation with factor IX activity, while in the carriers of the B+ variant the amount of factor IX ...
