The Effects of Spermine and Spermidine on the Interactions of Human Factors IXa, Xa, XIa, and IIa wi [PDF]
Heparin is a common anticoagulant used in hospitals that has been found to promote the interaction of human factor IXa with Anti-Thrombin III, creating a [IXa-ATIII] complex when put through electrophoresis.

Factor (F) IX/IXa inactivation by plasmin has been studied; however, whether plasmin converts FIXa to a fibrinolytic enhancer is not known.Investigate plasmin proteolysis site(s) in FIXa that inactivates and transforms it into a fibrinolytic enhancer.NH2 -terminal sequencing, mass spectrometry analysis, and functional assays.Plasmin in the presence of ...

Factor IXa as a Target for Pharmacologic Inhibition in Acute Coronary Syndrome [PDF]
Anticoagulant therapy, combined with platelet-directed inhibitors, represents a standard-of-care in the management of patients with acute coronary syndrome, particularly those who require percutaneous coronary interventions. While a vast clinical experience, coupled with large clinical trials have collectively provided guidance, an optimal ...

The Kinematic Algebras from the Scattering Equations [PDF]
We study kinematic algebras associated to the recently proposed scattering equations, which arise in the description of the scattering of massless particles.

Gate count estimates for performing quantum chemistry on small quantum computers
As quantum computing technology improves and quantum computers with a small but non-trivial number of N > 100 qubits appear feasible in the near future the question of possible applications of small quantum computers gains importance.

Comparative interactions of factor IX and factor IXa with human platelets
Both factor IX and factor IXa were bound to gel filtered platelets in the presence of CaCl2 (2-20 mM) and human alpha-thrombin (0.06-0.2 units/ml) with maximal binding occurring in 10-20 min at 37 degrees C, and rapid reversibility was observed when unlabeled ligands were added in 100-fold molar excess.

The Gla Domain of Factor IXa Binds to Factor VIIIa in the Tenase Complex [PDF]
During blood coagulation factor IXa binds to factor VIIIa on phospholipid membranes to form an enzymatic complex, the tenase complex. To test whether there is a protein-protein contact site between the gamma-carboxyglutamic acid (Gla) domain of factor IXa and factor VIIIa, we demonstrated that an antibody to the Gla domain of factor IXa inhibited ...

On Non-linear Action for Gauged M2-brane [PDF]
We propose a non-linear extension of U(1) \times U(1) (abelian) ABJM model including T_{M2} (higher derivative) corrections. The action proposed here is expected to describe a single M2-brane proving C^4/Z_k target space.

Determinantal Calabi-Yau varieties in Grassmannians and the Givental $I$-functions
We examine a class of Calabi-Yau varieties of the determinantal type in Grassmannians and clarify what kind of examples can be constructed explicitly.
