Dispersed Factorization Structures

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1979
Factorization structures on a category form a useful categorical tool. As is known, any , satisfying suitable completeness—and smallness—conditions, has a sufficient supply of factorization structures; in fact, there is a bijection between the class of all epireflective (full and isomorphism- closed) subcategories of and the class of all so called ...

LIGHT FACTORIZATION STRUCTURES

Quaestiones Mathematicae, 1979
Abstract In this paper we investigate, for connection subcategories A of a topological category K, the concepts of A-monotone quotients and A-light sources, and characterize (1) those A, which give rise to an (A-monotone quotient, A-light)- factorization structure on K, (2) those factorization structures (C,D) on K, which are light, i.e. of the form (A-

Simulation of Factor Structures (SIMFAK)

Biometrical Journal, 1983
A general method for the simulation of factor structures is developed, which contains different possibilities for simulation. The generalization of the method SIMFAK shows, that it is possible to simulate factor structures of maximum likelihood method, of minres method and of alpha factor analysis.
