Structure Factor Calculations

2021
We know that the intensity of the diffracted beams depends on atomic scattering factor and the position of each atom in the unit cell.

Origins of International Factor Structures

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2019
We show that exchange rate and international consumption comovements can be decomposed into components driven by trade network linkages, supply shocks, and demand shocks. Exchange rate correlations tend to be explained by trade network linkages, while consumption correlations tend to be explained by supply shock correlations. We explain this disconnect

Ecological structure and factor structure

1971
The neighbourhoods which comprise the residential fabric of the city and form the framework for analyses of the relationship between locality and behaviour differ on innumerable grounds. In terms of physical structure they differ in density and age of development, in geographical position, and in types of dwellings. More importantly, from a behavioural

Factor Structure of Manic Symptoms

Australian & New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, 2009
Objective: The purpose of the present study was to identify the factor structure of manic symptoms as assessed by the Scale for Manic States (SMS). Method: The pattern of symptoms in a group of 225 adults with an ICD-10-DCR diagnosis of manic episode was studied.

Factor Structure of Nonverbal Cognition

International Journal of Neuroscience, 2000
In order to define the factor structure of nonverbal cognitive processes, 156 twenty to sixty year-old participants were selected in Medellin (Colombia). A neuropsychological test battery for assessing different nonverbal cognitive domains (attention, memory, visuoperceptual and visuoconstructive abilities.

Factor XIII, clot structure, thrombosis

Thrombosis Research, 2012
Blood coagulation factor XIII (FXIII) is a tetrameric protein consisting of two catalytic A (FXIII-A) and two carrier/inhibitory B (FXIII-B) subunits. It is a zymogen, which becomes transformed into an active transglutaminase (FXIIIa) in the final phase of coagulation cascade by thrombin and Ca(2+).

Factor VIII structure and function

Blood Reviews, 1989
The relatively recent ability to obtain highly purified factor VIII (FVIII) preparations from plasma products, the cloning of the FVIII gene, and the expression of recombinant FVIII have provided the basis for significant advancements in the understanding of the structure-function relationships of FVIII.

Factor XIII: Structure and Function

Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, 2016
Over the last two decades, it became evident that factor XIII (FXIII) is not only a crucial determinant of clot characteristics but also has potentially important functions in many various fields such as bone biology, immunity, and adipogenesis. In this review, we aim to summarize the latest findings regarding structure and function of FXIII. In regard

The structure factor

2006
This chapter summarizes the mathematical development of the structure-factor formalism. It starts with the definition of the structure factor appropriate for X-ray and neutron scattering, and includes the derivation of the appropriate expressions. Beyond the isolated-atom case, the atom-centred spherical harmonic (multipole) model is treated in detail.

Structure of human factor VIII

Nature, 1984
The deduced amino acid sequence of human factor VIII, obtained from the DNA sequence, predicts a mature polypeptide of 2,332 amino acids containing a triplicated domain structure. The polypeptide has 35% sequence homology with the copper-binding plasma protein, ceruloplasmin.
