Inhibitors directed against factor V rarely occur, and the clinical symptoms vary. We herein report the case of a patient who presented with a decreased factor V activity that had decreased to 10 years earlier might have caused the development of a factor V inhibitor.

High frequency acoustic modes in vitreous Beryllium Fluoride probed by inelastic X-ray scattering
Inelastic X-ray Scattering measurements of the dynamics structure factor have bene performed on vitreous Beryllium Fluoride ({\it v-}BeF$_2$) at $T$=297 K in the momentum transfer, $Q$, range $Q$=1.5$\div$10 nm$^{-1}$.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

On the Complexity of Making a Distinguished Vertex Minimum or Maximum Degree by Vertex Deletion [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the approximability of two node deletion problems. Given a vertex weighted graph $G=(V,E)$ and a specified, or "distinguished" vertex $p \in V$, MDD(min) is the problem of finding a minimum weight vertex set $S \subseteq V ...

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

You may have been tested for the condition known as factor V Leiden (pronounced factor five lye/-den) because you or someone in your family has had a blood clot in one of the deep veins of the body (also called deep vein thrombosis, or DVT) or a blood clot that traveled to the lung (also called a pulmonary embolism, or PE).

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

3-Factor-criticality in double domination edge critical graphs [PDF]
A vertex subset $S$ of a graph $G$ is a double dominating set of $G$ if $|N[v]\cap S|\geq 2$ for each vertex $v$ of $G$, where $N[v]$ is the set of the vertex $v$ and vertices adjacent to $v$.

ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.
