A computer intensive method for choosing the ridge parameter [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we describe a computer intensive method to find the ridge parameter in a prediction oriented linear model. With the help of a factorial experimental design the method is tested and compared to a classical one.

The Anatomy of Discretion: An Analysis of Prosecutorial Decision Making [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Prosecuting attorneys enjoy exceptionally broad discretion in making decisions that influence criminal case outcomes. They make pivotal decisions throughout the life of a case with little public or judicial scrutiny.

Don't Worry About Her; Intersectionality, and the Role of Systems and Structures in the Embodied Experiences of Young Women's Use of Violence

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Systems and structures designed to protect and support young people, specifically (in this paper) young women, are ironically the same systems that maintain gender disparity. Consequently, this has influenced the embodied identities of young women who experience and use violence. Such systemic and structural intersectionality has impacted upon

Thrombectomy versus Medical Management for Pediatric Acute Ischemic Stroke Due to Isolated M2 Occlusion: A Multicenter Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) is increasingly used for pediatric large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, however, its role in isolated M2 occlusions remains underexplored. This study compared clinical outcomes in children with isolated M2 occlusion treated with EVT versus best medical therapy (BMT). Methods This multicenter cohort study pooled

A Universal Classification System of Skin Substitutes Inspired by Factorial Design

open access: yesTissue engineering. Part B, Reviews, 2018
The complexity of the dermal layer of skin means that damage to this section can result in permanent impairment of function. Partial or total dermal loss is a feature of deep burns and chronic wounds such as pressure sores or diabetic ulcers.

Metode Lenth Pada Rancangan Faktorial Fraksional 3^(k-p) Dengan Estimasi Efek Algoritma Yates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Factorial design often is used in experiments on various fields to identify the influence of main factors and interaction factors to respons were observed. A design which has k factors with three levels for each factor called factorial design.

A Cost‐Effective Hybrid Method For Homogeneous Matrix Coating in Matrix‐Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry Imaging Using Simultaneous Spin and Spray Deposition

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, EarlyView.
This study introduces an in‐house spin coater for matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry imaging, providing homogeneous matrix deposition via simultaneous spray and spin. The approach yields reproducible signals and clear metabolite distributions in complex tissues.
