Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Muonuclear Absorption and the Factorization Method
Muon absorption by a nucleus [μ− + [Z,A] → [Z – 1,A]* + vμ] is treated in the framework of a factorization method already tested in photonuclear physics.

A Remark on the Hensel Factorization Method [PDF]
In response to a remark of David Yun a new version of "On Hensel factorization I" ( J. Number Theory , v. 1, 1969) is given which sets in evidence the quadratic convergence behavior of the method using a minimum of bookkeeping.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

A factorization method for q-Racah polynomials
We develop a factorization method for q-Racah polynomials. It is inspired by the approach to q-Hahn polynomials based on the q-Johnson scheme, but we do not use association scheme theory nor Gel'fand pairs but only manipulation of q-difference ...

Discriminative and Graph Regularized Nonnegative Matrix Factorization with Kernel Method
Nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) is a popular technique for dimension reduction, which has been extensively applied in image clustering and other fields. However,NMF is an unsupervised approach, which does not take the label information of the data ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Factorization of large tetra and penta prime numbers on IBM quantum processor
The factorization of large digit integers in polynomial time is a challenging computational task to decipher. The development of Shor’s algorithm sparked a new resolution for solving the factorization problem.
