Factor Structure of a Lethal Behaviors Scale

Factor analysis of a lethal behaviors scale that had been completed by 399 adolescents and adults indicates that lethality as a construct is multidimensional. Principal factors include a general orientation toward danger and violence, an orientation toward bravery and adventure, thrill-seeking and fast driving, and safe or unsafe habits.

Abstract The existence of a humoral factor circulating in blood and controlling feeding behavior was studied in sheep. Blood from the jugular veins of hungry and satiated sheep was exchanged at a rate of 70 ml per min during 1 hr by a pump-controlled cross-circulation.
