Toward the standardization on factual databases.
Journal of Information Processing and Management, 1986 ファクトデータベースにおいては, 文献データベースと異なり数値データを扱うことが多く, しかもデータ項目が多種多様であるため, 標準化を図ることが極めて困難となっている。そこで本論文では, 主として数値データを中心とした科学技術系のファクトデータベースの標準化を進める際の問題点を, データの内容表現, データ入力, データ交換およびデータベース利用という四つの観点からまとめた。合わせて, ファクトデータベースの標準化をめぐる最近の動向について紹介した。

Journal of Information Processing and Management, 1988 昭和62年3月より提供を開始していたJICST質量スペクトルデータベースは, 昭和63年1月他の二つのファク卜データベースと共にJOIS-Fとして新たなスタートをきった。従来のサービス内容との相違点は, 追加データが更新されたこと, 他のJOIS-Fの中のファクトデータベースとのクロス検索が可能になったことなどである。質量スペクトルデータの検索にあたっての本質的な機能は従来どおりであるが, 新たなスタートとして, データベースの内容および検索と利用について紹介した。

Journal of Information Processing and Management, 1988 JICSTファクトデータベースシステムの一部としてオンラインサービスが開始されたJICST熱物性データベースの概要, 特徴, 使用法について述べた。本システムでは，60種以上の熱物理学・熱化学的性質に関するデータを蓄積することができる。データ収集対象は, 元素, 無機および低分子有機化合物の純物質系, これらの物質からなる2, 3成分系である。システムの機能としては, 有効数字を意識した浮動小数点データの取り扱い, 多面的・多様な検索のサポート, 他データベースとの渡り検索等に工夫をこらしている。このシステムの実際の使用例, 使用上の注意点についても記述した。

Journal of Information Processing and Management, 1990 1990年3月よりJOIS-Fの新しいデータベースとしてJICST/NRIM金属材料強度データベースのサービスが開始された。本データベースは, 日本科学技術情報センターと科学技術庁金属材料技術研究所による共同研究を基に開発されたもので, 構造用材料を中心とした金属材料の強度特性データ(クリープ, 疲労特性等)を蓄積し, オンラインによる検索・回答および統計解析とその結果のグラフィック表示を可能にしたものである。本データベースの内容について, 蓄積されたデータとシステムの両面から概説した。
