Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Average Symbol Error Rate Analysis of QAM Schemes Over Millimeter Wave Fluctuating Two-Ray Fading Channels

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this study, analytical expressions are derived by using probability density function approach over millimeter wave fluctuating two-ray (FTR) fading channels for average symbol error rate (ASER) of rectangular quadrature amplitude modulation (RQAM) and

Saddle Point Approximation of Mutual Information for Finite-Alphabet Inputs over Doubly Correlated MIMO Rayleigh Fading Channels

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Given the mutual information of finite-alphabet inputs cannot be calculated concisely and accurately over fading channels, this paper proposes a new method to calculate the mutual information.

The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

Nondata-aided error vector magnitude performance analysis over κ−μ shadowed fading channel

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2018
The performance prediction of wireless system over κ−μ shadowed fading channels was a challenging problem of wireless communications, which affects transmission scheme design seriously. To solve this problem,a novel method of quantifying the κ−μ shadowed ...

Network Localization of Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fatigue is among the most common symptoms and one of the main factors determining the quality of life in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying fatigue are not fully understood. Here we studied lesion locations and their connections in individuals with MS, aiming to identify brain networks ...

Exploiting Transmit Buffer Information at the Receiver in Block-Fading Channels

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2008
It is well known that channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) leads to higher throughput in fading channels. We motivate the use of transmit buffer information at receiver (TBIR).

Olink Proteomics Analysis Reveals Heterogeneous Responses to FcRn Blockade in Anti‐AChR Antibody‐Positive Myasthenia Gravis: FGF‐19 as a Novel Biomarker

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to systematically observe the clinical manifestations, immune cell subsets, and dynamic changes in serological indicators in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) before and after efgartigimod (EFG) treatment. Methods We analyzed the baseline data, laboratory parameters, and lymphocyte subset proportions in MG ...

Structure and performance of noncoherent receivers for differential space-time modulation in correlated time-varying fading channels

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2009
Utilizing channel correlation and time-varying fading parameter,a novel optimal noncoherent receiver for dif-ferential space-time modulation in correlated time-varying fading channels was derived.Under several special channels, the optimal receiver was ...

Does Long‐Term Lower Extremity Strength Training in Adults With Knee Osteoarthritis and Varus Alignment Reduce Knee Joint Loading During Gait?

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We examined whether 18 months of strength training in individuals with knee varus alignment and medial tibiofemoral osteoarthritis (OA) reduced knee joint loads during walking compared to an attention control group. Methods This study was a secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial that compared the effects of strength training to a ...
