Tenuipalpidae (Acari: Trombidiformes) from Casuarinaceae (Fagales)
Zootaxa, 2014The Tenuipalpidae associated with the Casuarinaceae are reviewed, including one new genus, Palpipalpus gen. nov., twelve new species, and seven redescriptions. Two new generic records for Australia are established, Pentamerismus and Philippipalpus. The new species are: Chaudhripalpus costacola Beard and Seeman sp.

Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 2021
Plastid phylogenomic analyses have shed light on many recalcitrant relationships across the angiosperm Tree of Life and continue to play an important role in plant phylogenetics alongside nuclear data sets given the utility of plastomes for revealing ancient and recent introgression.

Aeropalynological and immunochemical data on Fagales pollen grains
Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 1990Abstract Some Fagales pollen grains have been investigated from both aeropalynological and immunochemical aspects. From observations made at the ten French sites included in the study, it can be shown that Betula, Quercus and Castanea pollen grains always have a high representation in the total atmospheric pollen content, from March with Betula

Clinical and Experimental Allergy, 2003
SummaryBackground Birch allergy is one of the most common pollinosis in areas where exposure to high levels of birch pollen is common. Little is known about birch sensitivity in areas without birch pollen exposure and reactivity to birch‐related species within the Fagales order. Objective the aim was to evaluate Fagales reactivity within a ...

Spatial phylogenetics of Fagales: Investigating drivers of temperate forest distributions
AbstractAimQuantifying the phylogenetic diversity of temperate trees is essential for understanding the processes that have shaped the modern distribution of temperate broadleaf forest and other major forest biomes. Here, we focus on Fagales, an iconic member of forests worldwide, to uncover global diversity and endemism patterns and investigate the ...

Phylogenetic Relationships in Fagales Based on DNA Sequences from Three Genomes
International Journal of Plant Sciences, 2004Nucleotide sequences of six regions from three plant genomes—trnL‐F, matK, rbcL, atpB (plastid), matR (mtDNA), and 18S rDNA (nuclear)—were used to analyze inter‐ and infrafamilial relationships of Fagales. All 31 extant genera representing eight families of the order were sampled.
