The Causes of Dormancy in Oriental Beechnut (Fagus orientalis Lipsky.)
2006Oriental beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky.) is one of the important tree species in Turkey. There is dormancy phenomenon in beechnuts. There are several causes of seed dormancy. In this study, the effects of seed cover (pericarp and testa) and rinsing of embryo on dormancy are investigated.
