Rotorcraft UAV Actuator Failure Detection based on a New Adaptive set-membership Filter [PDF]
Actuator failure detection method based on a new Adaptive Extended Set-Membership Filter (AESMF) is proposed for Rotorcraft Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (RUAV).

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Open-Environment Evidential Learning for Reliable Myoelectric Locomotion Prediction
Accurate locomotion prediction in dynamic environments is crucial for lower-limb exoskeletons to provide walking assistance. Surface electromyography (sEMG)-based deep learning models demonstrate great potential for decoding user intent, yet most ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Transform-Based Multiresolution Decomposition for Degradation Detection in Cellular Networks
Anomaly detection in the performance of the huge number of elements that are part of cellular networks (base stations, core entities, and user equipment) is one of the most time consuming and key activities for supporting failure management procedures ...

Detecting Data Integrity Failures [PDF]
All data in systems will contain integrity failures (errors). Their causes are legion and endemic. Their effect is random and sometimes disastrous. This paper sets out a basic theory of how these errors can be managed in a secure system. In summary the theory requires that processing and reporting programs contain error detection functionality and that

A geometric approach to fault identification in linear repetitive processes [PDF]
We investigate the fault detection and isolation (FDI) problem for discrete-time linear repetitive processes (DLRP) using a geometric approach. We propose a 2-D model for these systems that incorporates the failure description.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
