Experimental investigation of the elastoplastic response of aluminum silicate spray dried powder during cold compaction [PDF]
Mechanical experiments have been designed and performed to investigate the elasto-plastic behaviour of green bodies formed from an aluminum silicate spray dried powder used for tiles production.

Study on combined stress failure envelope of CMG based on PSO-BP neural network
The investigation of the failure envelope of control moment gyroscopes (CMGs) under simulated dynamic and thermal vacuum conditions on the ground is crucial for ensuring the reliability of CMGs.

True triaxial tests on unsaturated soils with suction-controlled condition
Based on the new true triaxial apparatus of Xi’an University of Technology, the pedestal of the pressure chamber is installed with a high-air-entry-value ceramic disk and porous plate is placed on the top of the specimens.

Displacement Analyses for a Natural Slope Considering Post-Peak Strength of Soils
A natural slope undergoing recurrent movements caused by rainfall-induced groundwater table rises is studied using a novel method. The strength and displacement parameters are back-calculated using a force-equilibrium-based finite displacement method ...

The roles of jets: CF, CCSN, PN, CEE, GEE, ILOT
I review the roles of jet-inflated bubbles in determining the evolution of different astrophysical objects. I discuss astrophysical systems where jets are known to inflate bubbles (cooling flow [CF] clusters; young galaxies; intermediate luminosity ...

Episomal viral cDNAs identify a reservoir that fuels viral rebound after treatment interruption and that contributes to treatment failure. [PDF]
Viral reservoirs that persist in HIV-1 infected individuals on antiretroviral therapy (ART) are the major obstacle to viral eradication. The identification and definition of viral reservoirs in patients on ART is needed in order to understand viral ...

Proposal of a failure envelope for artificially cemented sand
Abstract Soils are particulate materials, which often stand out for their low shear strength. In most cases, this aspect justifies adapting the geotechnical project for this characteristic, which can be even more problematic in the case of soft sands, since it often occurs in superficial layers in various parts of the metropolitan region of Fortaleza ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
