Analysis, 2002 In recent years Fodor has repeatedly argued that nothing epistemic can be essential to, or constitutive of, any concept. This holds in virtue of a constraint which Fodor dubs the Compositionality Constraint. I show that Fodor's argument is fallacious because it rests on an ambiguity.

Preventing lower‐level gambling harms: Shifting from individual‐ to system‐frame approaches
Addiction, EarlyView.Abstract Background Gambling‐related harm is not concentrated solely among individuals meeting criteria for problematic or disordered gambling. Tackling harm at a population level is essential to reducing the total burden of harm and preventing escalation to more severe harms.

Field‐level crop choice responses to weather‐induced yield shocks in the US Corn Belt
American Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.Abstract As climate change increases the frequency and severity of extreme heat events, farmers are expected to face greater variability in crop yields. Using 10 million field‐level observations, this study examines how farmers in the US Corn Belt adjust corn–soybean rotation decisions in response to yield shocks largely driven by weather fluctuations.
