Endovascular treatment of visceral artery aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms with stent-graft: Analysis of immediate and long-term results [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The aim of this study is to analyze the safety and efficacy of stent-graft endovascular treatment for visceral artery aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms. METHODS: Multicentric retrospective series of patients with visceral aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms ...

Submitral Aneurysm Is Not A False Aneurysm [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation, 1999
To the Editor: I enjoyed reading the beautifully illustrated case report of submitral aneurysm by Kontozis et al.1 However, I questioned the appropriateness of the term “false aneurysm” used by the authors to describe the submitral left ventricular aneurysm.

Left ventricular false aneurysm

open access: yesActa Cardiologica, 2000
False aneurysms of the left ventricle develop after rupture of the ventricular wall in an area of pericardial adhesions. This complication of myocardial infarction is uncommon. Images of a post-infarction false aneurysm are presented.

Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring for Endoscopic Endonasal Approaches to the Skull Base: A Technical Guide. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during endoscopic, endonasal approaches to the skull base is both feasible and safe. Numerous reports have recently emerged from the literature evaluating the efficacy of different neuromonitoring tests during

Endovascular Repair of a Complex Isolated Dissecting Aneurysm of the Superior Mesenteric Artery

open access: yesEJVES Short Reports, 2019
Introduction: Isolated dissection of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) is rare and remains the most common reason for aneurysmal degeneration of the vessel. The treatment is challenging and not standardised.

Clinical Outcomes of Ultrasound-Guided Thrombin Injection for the Treatment of Iatrogenic Pseudoaneurysm

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Ultrasound, 2022
Purpose: The frequency of iatrogenic pseudoaneurysms is increasing with the growing popularity of endovascular treatment. This study examined the efficacy and safety of the ultrasound- guided thrombin injection for the treatment of iatrogenic ...

Peak Trekking of Hierarchy Mountain for the Detection of Cerebral Aneurysm using Modified Hough Circle Transform [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The Circle of Willis is in the junction of two carotid arteries and two vertebral arteries that supply the brain with nutrition. Junctions where these arteries come together may develop weak spots that can balloon out and fill with blood, creating ...

Stenting as a Rescue Treatment of a Pulmonary Artery False Aneurysm Caused by Swan-Ganz Catheterization

open access: yesCase Reports in Pulmonology, 2014
Pulmonary vascular injury is a rare but life-threatening complication of Swan-Ganz catheterization. We report an 82-year old patient who underwent right heart catheterization by a balloon-tipped catheter because of suspected pulmonary hypertension. After

CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.
