Cell Segmentation Beyond 2D—A Review of the State‐of‐the‐Art
Cell segmentation underpins many biological image analysis tasks, yet most deep learning methods remain limited to 2D despite the inherently 3D nature of cellular processes. This review surveys segmentation approaches beyond 2D, comparing 2.5D and fully 3D methods, analyzing 31 models and 32 volumetric datasets, and introducing a unified reference ...

Lüge, Fälschung, Plagiat. Über Formen und Verfahren prekärer Autorschaft
This paper discusses falsification and plagiarism as special forms of literary fiction in which the poet’s lie – mostly accepted, sometimes socially praised – is revalorized spontaneously if the lie is brought to light.

Nietzsche thought a great deal about our relationship to truth. Some interpreters have argued that Nietzsche maintained the ‘falsification thesis,’ which claims that all of our beliefs are (in some sense or another) false.

On Optimization-Based Falsification of Cyber-Physical Systems [PDF]
In what is commonly referred to as cyber-physical systems (CPSs), computational and physical resources are closely interconnected. An example is the closed-loop behavior of perception, planning, and control algorithms, executing on a computer and ...

Distributions of intrinsic stacking fault energies (ISFE) among different slip planes in the face‐centered cubic Co2Ni2Ru alloy, predicted by three foundation potentials (DPA, Orb, and SevenNet) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. This study evaluates the efficacy of three foundation potentials (FPs)—SevenNet, DPA, and Orb—in predicting ...

Controllability and falsification of hybrid systems [PDF]
In this paper we consider the controllability problem for hybrid systems, namely that of determining the set of states which can be driven into a given target set. We show that given a suitable definition of controllability, we can effectively compute arbitrarily accurate under-approximations to the controllable set using Turing machines.
