Aerodynamic and aeroacoustic properties of axial fan blades with slitted leading edges
A detailed experimental analysis of the aerodynamic and aeroacoustic properties of flat-plate axial fans with slitted leading edges is performed. The sound emissions of five slitted leading edge designs are measured at a constant rotational speed and at ...

Noise-Source Identification for Ducted Fan Systems [PDF]
Coherence-based source analysis techniques can be used to identify the contribution of combustion noise in the exhaust of a jet engine and to hence enable the design of noise-reduction devices. However, when the combustion noise propagates in a nonlinear fashion, the identified contribution using ordinary coherence methods will be inaccurate.

Main fan noise mitigation technologies in turbofan engines
Aircraft noise and emissions have been of concern since the beginning of commercial aviation. The continuing growth in air traffic and increasing public awareness have made environmental considerations one of the most critical aspects of commercial ...

Utjecaj radijalnog i aksijalnog razrmaka na emitiranu buku i performance ventilatora
Among all auxilimy units of the air cooled diesel engine acooling fan is the noisiest. One of the noise generation mechanismsis the blade interaction with the vortices occurring in theradial and axial clearances of the fan due to the pressure ...

Experimental study of blade thickness effects on the global and local performances of a Controlled Vortex Designed axial-flow fan [PDF]
The purpose of this work is to study the effects of blade thickness on the performances of an axial-flow fan. Two fans that differ only in the thickness of their blades were studied.

Performance and noise trade-offs on a civil airliner with over-the-wing engines [PDF]
Community noise has become a major consideration in the design of new aircraft. The noise generated by the engines has decreased over the generations to the extent that a whole-airframe approach is required now to achieve further significant reductions ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Aerodynamic noise characteristics of a centrifugal fan in high-altitude environments.
In high-altitude areas, the air is thin and the atmospheric pressure is low, which can affect the performance of centrifugal fans and aerodynamic noise.

Application of Wake Characteristics to Prediction of Broadband Noise of a Multiblade Fan
In this study, the wake characteristics of an arc blade were measured by the wind tunnel experiment; the characteristics were defined as the width of the wake, diameter of the vortex, ratio of the vortex scale, and the local lift.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...
