A Dialogue on Revolutions and Revolutionaries in Science: A Perspective From Quantum Mechanics

open access: yesNatural Sciences, Volume 6, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT We discuss the notions of scientific revolutions and revolutionaries in the context of the Relativity Revolution and of the First, Second, and Third Quantum Revolutions. We conclude that at the core of the question of what qualifies as a revolution and revolutionary is an assessment of the gradients of knowledge accumulation over time, both at

Cirsium arvense management with electrical weed control and clopyralid

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 7, Page 6575-6584, July 2026.
Electrical weed control (EWC) treatments reduced Cirsium arvense biomass by ≤95% and suppressed new shoot emergence by 70–95%, achieving control comparable to clopyralid. Sequential or integrated applications enhanced efficacy, demonstrating EWC's potential as a nonchemical tool for perennial weed management in orchard systems.

Statistical Study on Pulsating Auroras and High‐Latitude Propagation of Chorus Waves Based on Conjugate Observations of Ground‐Based Imagers and Arase Satellite

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Pulsating aurora (PsA) is one of the common diffuse auroras typically generated by ∼10 keV electron precipitation. Precipitating electrons are scattered via wave‐particle interactions with whistler‐mode chorus waves in the magnetosphere. Previous studies have observationally demonstrated that, during PsAs, highly energetic electrons with ...

Low Abundances of Ultramafic Components in the Chang'e‐6 Landing Site Basalt and Ejecta Material

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract The South Pole‐Aitken (SPA) Basin, the Moon's largest impact structure, holds key insights into lunar evolution, prompting the Chang'e‐6 mission to return first samples for ground‐truth verification. Analysis of over 6,000 grains from the Chang'e‐6 soil returned from the SPA Basin reveals a composition dominated by clinopyroxene (26.5–32.9 vol.

Nonreciprocal Electro‐Optic Intermodal Scattering With Momentum Engineered RF Waves

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 12, 25 June 2026.
We demonstrate highly selective nonreciprocal intermodal scattering in thin‐film lithium niobate using slow‐wave RF transmission lines. This electro‐optic momentum engineering approach enables magnet‐free nonreciprocal devices with a single RF input. ABSTRACT Spatiotemporal modulation approaches have been often employed as alternatives for producing ...
