ABSTRACT The global burden of multidrug‐resistant tuberculosis (MDR‐TB) and the rising incidence of nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infections highlight the urgent need for innovative therapeutic strategies. Current treatments are prolonged, toxic, and increasingly compromised by resistance and limited diagnostic capacity.

Parasites at the Summit: Unexpected Geographic Distribution of the Blood Parasite Lineage Found in the Endangered Giant Lizard of Tenerife

Wee1 kinase differentially regulates maize CDKA2;1a and CDKB1;1

In eukaryotes, Wee1 kinase inhibits the kinase activity of CDK/Cyc complexes through phosphorylation of a conserved residue in the CDK moiety. Wee1 is also present in plants, but has been scarcely studied. We have studied maize Wee1 regulation of CDKA/CycD2;2a or CDKB/CycD2;2a complexes.
