Decision fatigue: A conceptual analysis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Health Psychology, 2018
Decision fatigue is an applicable concept to healthcare psychology. Due to a lack of conceptual clarity, we present a concept analysis of decision fatigue. A search of the term “decision fatigue” was conducted across seven research databases, which yielded 17 relevant articles. The authors identified three antecedent themes (decisional, self-regulatory,

A Continuum Damage-Based Anisotropic Hyperelastic Fatigue Model for Short Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyamide 66

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
A phenomenological 3D anisotropic nonlinear fatigue damage model has been developed for a short glass fiber-reinforced polyamide. The model is formulated within the framework of continuum damage mechanics and is based on a proposed anisotropic ...

Flexible Riser Tensile Armor Modelling Method and Application to Fatigue Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2023
In this paper, we present a new stress calculation method for flexible structures, particularly, tensile armors, and apply it to flexible riser fatigue analysis. The method is based on a 3-dimensional curved bar theory.

On the Analysis of Saturated Pressure to Detect Fatigue

open access: yes, 2023
This paper examines the saturation of pressure signals during various handwriting tasks, including drawings, cursive text, capital words text, and signature, under different levels of fatigue. Experimental results demonstrate a significant rise in the proportion of saturated samples following strenuous exercise in tasks performed without resting wrist.

Stress Intensity Factor Equations for the Evolution of Surface and Corner Cracks to Through Cracks

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2019
Part-through surface or corner 2D cracks are commonly found in structural components, even because practically all fatigue cracks tend to start this way.

A Novel Design and Structural Analysis of Spring Landing Gear for Unmanned Air Vehicles

open access: yesHittite Journal of Science and Engineering, 2022
Aircraft are subjected to an impact load during landing. This situation becomes more important for unmanned aerial vehicles that are remotely controlled and must serve in extreme conditions. Because the landing gear should absorb this impact load as much
