Comparing the Effect of Semi‐Immersive Virtual Reality, Computerized Cognitive Training, and Traditional Rehabilitation on Cognitive Function in Multiple Sclerosis: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cognitive impairment is a common non‐motor symptom in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), negatively affecting autonomy and Quality of Life (QoL). Innovative rehabilitation strategies, such as semi‐immersive virtual reality (VR) and computerized cognitive training (CCT), may offer advantages over traditional cognitive rehabilitation (TCR ...

Equivalent Fatigue Constitutive Model Based on Fatigue Damage Evolution of Concrete

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Concrete structures such as bridge decks and road pavements are subjected to repetitive loading and are susceptible to fatigue failure. A simplified stress–strain analysis method that can simulate concrete behavior with a sound physical basis, acceptable

Modelling of the behaviour of a welded joint subjected to reverse bending moment at high temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The paper is concerned with the modeling of the behaviour of welds when subjected to severe thermal and mechanical loads where the maximum temperature during dwell periods lies in the creep range.

CAR T‐Cell Therapy in Neurology: A Scoping Review of Neuro‐Oncology, Autoimmune Diseases & Neurotoxicity

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy has been investigated in neurological diseases, encompassing both central nervous system malignancies and autoimmune disorders, thereby extending its application beyond hematological cancers.

Material heterogeneity or stress concentration: the thermoelastic response from woven composite materials subjected to cyclic fatigue

open access: yes, 2009
A study of the growth of fatigue damage in 2 x 2 twill woven composite materials, subjected to cyclic tensile loading are described. Thermoelastic stress analysis (TSA) is used to monitor the stress field.

Simulation of Near-Tip Crack Behaviour and Its Correlation to Fatigue Crack Growth with a Modified Strip-Yield Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A modified strip-yield model has been developed to simulate the plasticity-induced crack closure under the constant amplitude (CA) and a single overload loading conditions.

Spatial and Volumetric Characteristics of Glioblastoma: Associations With Clinical Presentation and Survival

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We aim to comprehensively analyze how regional tumor and edema characteristics are associated with clinical presentations and survival outcomes in a large cohort of glioblastoma patients. Methods Patients with IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma who received brain MRI from 2010 to 2023 were included.

Long‐Term Efficacy of Immunotherapy in Autoimmune Autonomic Ganglionopathy—A 10‐Year Follow Up Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Autoimmune autonomic ganglionopathy (AAG) is a rare but potentially treatable cause of severe autonomic failure. Evidence guiding long‐term immunotherapy, treatment sequencing, and residual autonomic impairment is limited. We evaluated long‐term treatment response, residual autonomic dysfunction, and relapse patterns in patients with

Thermomechanical fatigue crack initiation in disc alloys using a damage approach

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
A fatigue crack initiation model based on damage accumulation via a fatigue memory surface in conjunction with a plastic strain energy parameter was evaluated for thermomechanical fatigue loading in a gas turbine disc alloy.

Fatigue damage in cross-ply titanium metal matrix composites containing center holes [PDF]

open access: yes
The development of fatigue damage in (0/90) sub SCS-6/TI-15-3 laminates containing center holes was studied. Stress levels required for crack initiation in the matrix were predicted using an effective strain parameter and compared to experimental results.
