How Firms ‘Speak’ Social: Disclosure Posture as a Stable Strategic Communication Construct in ESG Reporting

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Why do firms subject to identical ESG reporting requirements nevertheless ‘speak’ the Social pillar in different ways? Some foreground numerical indicators; others rely on narrative accounts of policies, systems and stakeholder engagement. This variation in disclosure form, rather than in disclosure coverage, motivates this exploratory study ...

Acoustic‐driven surface cleaning with millimeter‐sized bubbles at translational resonance

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
Time‐lapse visualization comparing bubble trajectories. The top panel (0 Hz) shows a bubble's linear path under no acoustic forcing, while the bottom panel (50 Hz) demonstrates the oscillatory motion induced by acoustic waves at a resonance mode. This mechanism holds promising potential for applications such as surface cleaning.

Thermal‐induced fracture evolution and acoustic signature of Beishan granite: Insights into tensile strength of barrier system for high‐level radioactive waste disposal

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The tensile strength of granite, a proposed host for nuclear waste, degrades severely above 400°C. We link this to specific microcracking patterns captured by acoustic emission, establishing a scientific basis for assessing repository safety under thermal load.

Numerical simulation study on the characteristics and propagation attenuation of vibration signals in freezing pipe fracture

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This research study employs analysis system (ANSYS) fluid–structure interaction simulations to investigate the generation and attenuation of vibration signals resulting from freezing pipe fractures in artificial ground freezing projects. By evaluating key variables—including frozen soil elastic modulus, brine inlet pressure, and external pipe pressure ...
