LIFE EXTENSION OF FATIGUE DAMAGED COMPONENTS
1997The complete procedure for the repair of fatigue damaged metal components is suggested and explained in this paper. All necessary steps are described and the most important one - the choice of the adequate fatigue crack retarding method - is supported with the fatigue test results of several fatigue crack repair methods.

2001
Abstract In the design of composite structures for durability and damage tolerance, the primary concerns are out-of-plane failures, such as delamination, material degradation associated with environment, stability under compression loading, large degree of scatter in fatigue life, and bearing failure of joints.

Bayesian Fatigue Life Prediction
1985Fatigue failure is an important failure mode for offshore structural joints, in particular for dynamically sensitive deep water structures. To predict the fatigue life only a few test results are generally available for the actual type of joint. In addition, however, test results for joints with slightly different geometries are available. Fatigue life
