Screening of key genes in fatty acid synthesis in seed kernel of Elaeagnus mollis Diels.
[Objective] The study aims to mine the key genes involved in fatty acid synthesis using transcriptomic analysis of kernels from different periods of Elaeagnus mollis Diels. [Methods] We observed and recorded fruit development of E. mollis Diels.

The Influence of Ceramide Tail Length on the Structure of Bilayers Composed of Stratum Corneum Lipids [PDF]
Lipid bilayers composed of non-alpha hydroxy sphingosine ceramide (CER NS), cholesterol (CHOL), and free fatty acids (FFA), which are components of the human skin barrier, are studied via molecular dynamics simulations. Since mixtures of these lipids exist in dense gel phases with little molecular mobility at physiological conditions, care must be ...

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Effects of hyperoxia on composition and rate of synthesis of fatty acids in Escherichia coli
Growth of and fatty acid synthesis in Escherichia coli were inhibited by oxygen at partial pressures above 1 atm and were prevented by exposure to oxygen at 4.2 atm on membranes incubated on a minimal medium.

Using infrared gas sensors in an in-vitro dynamic gut model for detecting short-chain fatty-acids: Technical Report [PDF]
Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), including acetate, propionate and butyrate, are organic fatty-acids that are produced when indigested carbohydrates are fermented in the colon by gut-bacteria. Butyrate is especially considered a beneficial compound in relation to gut health and the maintenance of colonic homeostasis.

A bioengineered skin equivalent composed of electrospun poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) and the bioactive peptide Fmoc‐FRGD is developed for severe burn treatment. This scaffold promotes full‐thickness skin regeneration by supporting cellular adhesion and integration. In‐vitro and in‐vivo studies show enhanced mechanical stability, accelerated wound closure,

A hydrogel for intra‐articular injection for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is formulated and comprehensively studied. After administration, the hydrogel induces a metabolic reprogramming of immunometabolism of macrophages to trigger fatty acid oxidation subsequently inducing polarization of anti‐inflammatory M2 macrophages. This results in

Magnetically Guided Mechanoactive Mineralization Scaffolds for Enhanced Bone Regeneration
A 3D‐printed ‘rebar‐concrete’ inspired scaffold (PGS‐P@MGel) synergizes spontaneous biomineralization with magneto‐mechanical stimulation through PDA@Fe3O4‐embedded hydrogel. This dual biointerface activates Piezo1/β‐catenin/YAP mechanotransduction axis, enhancing BMSCs osteogenesis and angiogenesis simultaneously.
