Partial fault tolerance in stream processing applications - methods and evaluation techniques
Stream processing emerged as a paradigm to continuously process incoming live data streams, such as audio, video, and business feeds. These applications are assembled as dataflow graphs, where each vertex of the graph is a stream operator and each edge ...

Fault Tolerance Techniques for Hybrid CMOS/Nano Architecture
We propose two fault tolerance techniques for hybrid CMOS/nano architecture implementing logic functions as Look-Up Tables. We compare the efficiency of the proposed techniques with recently reported methods that use single coding schemes in tolerating ...

Beyond Optimal Fault Tolerance
The optimal fault-tolerance achievable by any protocol has been characterized in a wide range of settings. For example, for state machine replication (SMR) protocols operating in the partially synchronous setting, it is possible to simultaneously guarantee consistency against $α$-bounded adversaries (i.e., adversaries that control less than an $α ...

Tagged repair techniques for defect tolerance in hybrid nano/CMOS architecture
We propose two new repair techniques for hybrid nano/CMOS computing architecture with lookup table based Boolean logic. Our proposed techniques use tagging mechanism to provide high level of defect tolerance and we present theoretical equations to ...

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.
