Revealing the effects of anthropogenic structures on the spatial distribution of migratory wildebeest

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 6, June 2026.
In light of these findings, we recommend careful regulation and spatial planning of infrastructure development within ecosystems that consider the nuanced effects human‐made structures can have on the behaviour and habitat use of migratory animals. Abstract The increasing interaction between wildlife and humans, both within and outside protected areas,

Artificial Intelligence in Type 1 Diabetes Management: A Scoping Review of Randomised Controlled Trials

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 6, Page 4860-4875, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Artificial intelligence is emerging in healthcare systems. In type 1 diabetes, AI‐enabled tools are increasingly used to support nutrition assessment and insulin decision‐making, yet their clinical utility and safety remain unclear. Methods The study aims to identify and map the evidence on the clinical utility of AI‐based diabetes ...

Ferromagnetically Shielded Fault Current Limiter (FS‐FCL) Evaluation in Power Line

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
ABSTRACT This paper presents a novel ferromagnetically shielded fault current limiter (FS‐FCL) configuration and control strategy for power systems. The proposed system introduces a controlled DC‐reactor design that effectively limits fault currents without significantly affecting the system voltage during normal operation.

Efficacy and Safety of Automated Insulin Delivery in People With Type 2 Diabetes: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 6, Page 5091-5100, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Aims Studies evaluating automated insulin delivery (AID) in type 2 diabetes are limited in number and often conducted in small cohorts. We aimed to summarize efficacy and safety data through a systematic review and meta‐analysis. Materials and Methods We searched MEDLINE, PubMed, Web of Science, and CENTRAL databases and performed hand ...

OVERCURRENT RELAY COORDINATION IN DISTRIBUTED GENERATION WITH FAULT CURRENT LIMITER

open access: yes, 2017
The distribution network has many advantages when it is connected to distributed generation (DG). Some problems in coordination of protection devices will occur in the presence of DG, due to change in short circuit level at different points.

Comparative Effectiveness and Future Viability of Flood Control Adaptation Measures Under a Changing Climate and a Declining Population

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Adaptation measures play a crucial role in mitigating the increasing severity of flood disasters driven by climate change. While various strategies are implemented globally, their geographical characteristics and long‐term effectiveness remain uncertain.

The impact of fault current limiter in power system performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Continues growth of electrical energy demand is resulting in a corresponding increase in the short circuit in power system. Several solutions have been implemented, including the use of Fault Current Limiter (FCL), in order to reduce circuit breakers ...

Flexible Dual Fabry–Perot Filters Enabling Color Balanced Narrowband Emission Designed by Physics Guided Neural Inverse Optimization

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 10, 27 May 2026.
The dual Fabry–Perot interferometer (DFPI) with functionally separated cavities enables simultaneous RGB peak alignment and spectral rebalancing without subpixel patterning. Multi resonance generation and fine spectral tuning are independently controlled, enhancing the color purity.

Operational control and protection implications of fault current limitation in distribution networks

open access: yes, 2009
Rising short-circuit fault current levels is one of the problems associated with the increased presence of distributed generation (DG) in electrical networks.
