Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.

Limit short-circuit current switching capability of ceramic contacts of fault-current limiters

open access: yes, 2005
Рассмотрена возможность применения композитных материалов на основе серебра с добавлением тугоплавких составных частей в качестве главных контактов токоограничивающих автоматических выключателей повышенной предельной коммутационной способности типа ВА57 ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

A fault location method for DC distribution networks with DC circuit breaker and current limiter coordination

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
To enhance the reliability of the protection system and accurately identify fault distances in DC networks, a fault location method is proposed, which leverages the coordination of existing DC circuit breakers (DCCBs) and current limiters.

Transient Stability Improvement of Power Transmission Grid by Controlled Fault Current Limiters Considering Cyber-Attacks

open access: yes, 2016
This dissertation proposes the bridge type fault current limiter (BFCL) as well as parallel resonance type fault current limiter (PRFCL) to enhance the transient stability of multi-machine power system.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Series magnetic coupled reactor saturation considerations for high voltage AC and DC power systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The rapid increase of integrated distributed generators results in higher fault currents in the future modern grids. A remedy for the concern is employing series reactors as fault current limiters.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Solid-State Fault Current Limiting for DC Distribution Protection

open access: yes, 2017
This paper discusses solid-state fault current limiting technologies. Both solid-state fault current limiters and converters can quickly limit DC fault currents and permit other protective devices to perform appropriate fault interruption and/or ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
