Prediction and Fault Detection of Environmental Signals with Uncharacterised Faults
Many signals of interest are corrupted by faults of anunknown type. We propose an approach that uses Gaus-sian processes and a general “fault bucket” to capturea priori uncharacterised faults, along with an approxi-mate method for marginalising the potential faultinessof all observations.

Redundant ADS and INS High Sensitivity Fault Detection Method
The fault detection function of GLT method is approximately proportional to the square of fault value, the value of the fault detection function is lower than the detection threshold when the soft fault is small, which leads to the low sensitivity of ...

A Hilbert–Huang Transform-Based Adaptive Fault Detection and Classification Method for Microgrids
Fault detection in microgrids is of great significance for power systems’ safety and stability. Due to the high penetration of distributed generations, fault characteristics become different from those of traditional fault detection.

Detailed modelling and analysis of digital mho distance relay with single-pole operation
This paper introduces a methodology for modelling a digital admittance-type distance relay using PSCAD/EMTDC. The proposed distance relay was tested in a simulation of the Brazilian power grid with predetermined fault scenarios. The goal of this paper is

Fault Detection in Ball Bearings
Ball bearing joints are a critical component in all rotating machinery, and detecting and locating faults in these joints is a significant problem in industry and research. Intelligent fault detection (IFD) is the process of applying machine learning and other statistical methods to monitor the health states of machines.

Monitoring large-scale systems is of fundamental importance in modern infrastructures. Many of these large-scale systems are complex interconnections of sub-components which interact by means of communication channels with limited bandwidth. Therefore the information must be encoded in order to be transmitted.
