Transformer Fault Diagnosis Based on Hybrid Sampling and Support Vector Machines
Aiming at the impact of transformer imbalanced data set on transformer fault diagnosis model. A transformer fault diagnosis method based on hybrid sampling and support vector machines (SVM) is proposed.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Submersible Screw Pump Fault Diagnosis Method Based on a Probabilistic Neural Network
The core components of submersible screw pump are concentrated underground, so it is difficult to judge the fault timely and accurately. Based on this, this paper proposes a fault diagnosis method of submersible screw pump based on probabilistic neural ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The Afghanistan Earthquake of 21 June 2022: The Role of Compressional Step-Overs in Seismogenesis
The Afghanistan earthquake of 21 June 2022 ruptured a ~10 km-long fault segment in the North Waziristan–Bannu fault system (NWBFS) located towards the north of the Katawaz Basin. The earthquake was shallow and reportedly caused widespread devastation. In

Faulty Line Identification Method Based on Bayesian Optimization for Distribution Network
Selective ground-fault protection is greatly valued for the safe and reliable operation of power systems. With the wide adoption of fault indicator in distribution network, the amount of available fault data increases dramatically.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Tree-related high-impedance faults (THIFs) in medium voltage distribution systems represent a typical fault, especially where an overhead line crosses a forested area. The arc caused by THIFs could ignite nearby combustibles, significantly increasing the

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

An Automated Fault Tree Generation Approach With Fault Configuration Based on Model Checking
Fault tree generation technology is a key issue for safety analysis of large complex systems. Traditional safety analysis methods usually describe the origin, propagation, or concrete behavior of the fault and do not portray the constraints between ...
