This paper comprehensively analyses the impedance characteristics of grid‐following and grid‐forming inverters at around synchronous frequency areas considering various operating and grid connection conditions and control settings. Both analytical and from EMT‐simulation extracted impedances are obtained for ensuring model plausibility.
