Joint radar communication system design based on filter bank multicarrier modulation scheme
Abstract Since orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals are sensitive to Doppler shift, OFDM signals with cyclic prefix (CP) not only reduce the communication rate but also result in symmetric pseudo peaks in the ambiguity function of the radar, which eventually lead to the degradation of the performance of the joint radar ...

Nowadays, multicarrier modulation schemes are being widely used in wireless communication system than single‐carrier modulation techniques. Single‐carrier modulation schemes are less capable of dealing with multipath fading channels than multicarrier modulation schemes, which results in lower spectral efficiency.

Capacity analysis of WCC-FBMC/OQAM systems [PDF]
This paper evaluates the capacity of weighted circularly convolved FBMC/OQAM systems. A rigorous mathematical model is derived to calculate the increase of capacity that can be obtained thanks to the lattice structure of the modulation and the exploitation of the intrinsic interference.

PAPR reduction technique for FBMC based visible light communication systems
Abstract One of the critical challenges in multicarrier‐based systems is peak to average power ratio (PAPR). Recently, Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) is proved to be a promising candidate that can replace the traditional orthogonal multiplexing division (OFDM) scheme due to its better spectral efficiency, reducing both inter‐channel interference (ICI)

Effective signal to intrinsic interference plus noise ratio analysis of affine precoded FBMC system
Abstract An affine precoding and decoding (APD) method of channel estimation and data detection in the filter bank multi‐carrier (FBMC) system is implemented, and it is found to be useful from bit error rate (BER) perspective. Effective average signal to intrinsic interference plus noise ratio (SINReff)$(\text{SINR}_{\text{eff}})$ is derived ...

Joint Sparse Graph for FBMC/OQAM Systems [PDF]
As an advanced non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technique, the low density signature (LDS) has never been used in filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) systems. In this paper, we model a low density weight matrix (LDWM) to utilize the intrinsic interference in FBMC systems when single-tap equalization is employed, and propose a LDS-FBMC scheme which ...

Abstract Partial transmit sequence (PTS) is an effective method to reduce the peak‐to‐average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, but it is not suitable for the filter bank multi‐carrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC/OQAM) system because of the overlapping structure of FBMC/OQAM signals ...

Channel Measurement and Noise Estimation in FBMC/OQAM‐Based IoT Networks
Channel measurement plays an important role in the emerging 5G‐enabled Internet of Things (IoT) networks, which reflects the channel quality and link reliability. In this paper, we address the channel measurement for link reliability evaluation in filter‐bank multicarrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation‐ (FBMC/OQAM‐) based IoT network ...

New scheme for PAPR reduction in FBMC-OQAM systems based on combining TR and deep clipping techniques [PDF]
Filter bank multi-carrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC-OQAM) system is a very efficient multicarrier modulation technique for 5G, but it suffers as all multicarriers designs from large peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR).
