Pinopsin Regulates Melatonin Production and Daily Locomotor Activity: Functional Insights From Gene-Edited Xenopus Tadpoles. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Circadian rhythm alignment depends on environmental light detection via opsins. Pinopsin, originally identified in the pineal organ of birds and later in amphibian pineal complex and eyes, may play a role in this process, though its function has not been genetically tested.

Infinite-pressure phase diagram of binary mixtures of (non)additive hard disks [PDF]
One versatile route to the creation of two-dimensional crystal structures on the nanometer to micrometer scale is the self-assembly of colloidal particles at an interface. Here, we explore the crystal phases that can be expected from the self-assembly of

A tyrosine phospho‐switch within the Longin domain of VAMP721 modulates SNARE functionality
SUMMARY The final step in secretion is membrane fusion facilitated by SNARE proteins that reside in opposite membranes. The formation of a trans‐SNARE complex between one R and three Q coiled‐coiled SNARE domains drives the final approach of the membranes providing the mechanical energy for fusion.
