The Effect of Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) Processes On Different Parameters
AbstractFlux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) is an arc welding process that using continuous flux-cored filler wire. The flux is used as a welding protection from the atmosphere environment. This project is study about the effect of FCAW process on different parameters by using robotic welding with the variables in welding current, speed and arc voltage.

In this work, the weld metal (WM) for the Q690 high‐strength low‐alloy (HSLA) steel was prepared through flux‐cored arc welding (FCAW) at 10 kJ/cm and 20 kJ/cm heat inputs. The effect of welding heat input on the relationship between the microstructural factors and the electrochemical behavior of the FCAW Q690 steel was studied.

The residual stress analysis of a thick welded structure requires a lot of time and computer memory, which are different from those in thin welded structure analysis. This study investigated the effect of residual stress due to welding‐pass grouping as a way to reduce the analysis time in multipass thick butt welding joint.

Assessing the Very High Cycle Fatigue Behavior and Frequency Effect of Structural Steel Welds
ABSTRACT The very high cycle fatigue behavior of S275J2+N flux‐core arc welded joints was investigated using the ultrasonic fatigue testing method at a loading frequency of 20 kHz. A bespoke specimen design featuring the weld toe was employed to more suitably represent in‐service welded joints than typical ultrasonic fatigue testing specimens.

Metallurgical characteristics of armour steel welded joints used for combat vehicle construction
Austenitic stainless steel (ASS) and High nickel steel (HNS) welding consumables are being used for welding Q&T steels, as they have higher solubility for hydrogen in austenitic phase, to avoid hydrogen induced cracking (HIC) but they are very expensive.
