Spacetime in the brain: rapid brain network reorganization in visual processing and recovery
Functional connectivity networks (FCN) are the physiological basis of brain synchronization to integrating neural activity. They are not rigid but can reorganize under pathological conditions or during mental or behavioral states. However, because mental

New Frontiers in EU Trade Policy: Moving Beyond Conventional Trade Agreements
ABSTRACT As the rules‐based international trading system faces stagnation and increasing unilateralism, the European Union's trade policy must evolve beyond conventional free trade agreements (FTAs). This article examines recent trends in EU trade agreements, highlighting not only their expanded scope to include areas such as digital trade ...

Individual bird identification by modelling temporal structure in bioacoustic embeddings
Abstract Identifying individual animals from vocalizations is an emerging research area in computational bioacoustics. This non‐invasive approach reduces reliance on physical capture and tagging for wildlife monitoring. Recent advances in this area leverage deep learning and bioacoustic foundation models adapted from species‐level classifiers. However,

Improving Fingerprint Pore Detection with a Small FCN
In this work, we investigate if previously proposed CNNs for fingerprint pore detection overestimate the number of required model parameters for this task. We show that this is indeed the case by proposing a fully convolutional neural network that has significantly fewer parameters.

We generated digital pathologic algorithms (AI‐based modules that can be freely shared) to: optimize the sampling (ROI) for diagnosis of ADNC‐related tau pathology; compare/transition between Aperio and HALO platforms; and rationalize severe Braak NFT staging, so that all Braak‐VI cases had dementia, and all Braak‐V cases had MCI or dementia.

For the fast detection of ships in large-scale remote sensing images, a cascade convolutional neural network is proposed, which is a cascade combination of two Fully Convolutional Neural networks (FCNs), the target FCN for Prescreening (P-FCN), and the ...

A Survey of Methods for Constructing 3D Urban Models From Point Clouds
The survey outlines a general process for constructing 3D models from point clouds and categorizes the methods based on their use of templates, basic surface primitives, hybrid approaches, or linear primitives. Additionally, the survey reviews the datasets and benchmarks that are essential for testing and training the developed methods.

Clustering of TAC results in the FCN-MR plane.
A: output of the MR method for the training dataset. Reactions were identified by a consensus classification as either positive (●) or negative (■) and are plotted in the FCN-MR plane, showing the different localization of the two populations.
