Tradable performance standards for a greener transportation sector: an economists’ appraisal of the German greenhouse gas mitigation quota

open access: yesEnergy, Sustainability and Society
Background The greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation quota is a unique instrument in Europe that redistributes money from high emission to low emission fuel markets while forcing fuel distributors to reduce the average emissions of their fuels.

Rhododendron diversity patterns provide new insights for conserving China's montane flora

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
Integrating distribution, phylogenetic, and functional trait data for 603 Rhododendron species in China identified significant conservation hotspots of multidimensional diversity, particularly in the Hengduan Mountains. Climate seasonality and topographic heterogeneity jointly influenced these patterns; however, notable conservation gaps remained ...

Brain tissue classification in hyperspectral images using multistage diffusion features and transformer

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Brain surgery is a widely practised and effective treatment for brain tumours, but accurately identifying and classifying tumour boundaries is crucial to maximise resection and avoid neurological complications. This precision in classification is essential for guiding surgical decisions and subsequent treatment planning.

Personalized Network‐Guided Neuromodulation Enhances Human Working Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 49, 3 September 2026.
A personalized neuromodulation framework combining individualized functional brain network targeting with real‐time neural decoding is introduced. Using concurrent TMS–fMRI, participant‐specific stimulation targets and optimal frequencies are identified. Only optimal‐frequency stimulation improves working memory across sessions.

Integrated Metabolomics and Machine Learning Reveal Drying‐Dependent Phenolic Markers in Asteraceae Edible Plants From Ulleungdo Island

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
Three edible Asteraceae plants (Cirsium nipponicum, Solidago virgaurea, and Aster pseudoglehnii) from Ulleungdo Island, Korea, were processed by freeze‐drying or traditional blanching and sun‐drying. Untargeted UHPLC–HRMS metabolomics (110 features) combined with targeted quantification of 33 phenolic compounds revealed distinct drying‐induced ...

Diagnostic Accuracy of Artificial Intelligence Models for Detecting Odontogenic Keratocytes on CBCT Imaging: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Differentiating odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) from other radiolucent jaw lesions like ameloblastoma is clinically important but radiographically difficult. Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) show promise for enhancing diagnosis using cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT).
