Directional Training for FDD Massive MIMO
IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2018A key challenge for frequency-division duplexing (FDD) massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) is the large overhead in acquiring channel state information (CSI) for transmits beamforming. In this paper, we propose a scalable method called directional training to obtain downlink CSI.

This chapter provides a detailed description of the UTRA FDD mode. In the first section the key parameters are listed as a reference. A short section on the system architecture, the layer structure of the radio interface and its interworking with higher layers, and the bearer services provided in UMTS follows.

UTRA/FDD RF Transceiver Requirements
Wireless Personal Communications, 2002Unified RF requirements are derived for an UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access/Frequency Division Duplex (UTRA/FDD) compliant mobile transceiver. A set of transceiver requirements are proposed with consideration to system issues including duplex aspects. From these design-compatible requirements are proposed for each functional block in the transceiver.

VAVAC systems modeling and simulation for FDD applications
2011 9th IEEE International Conference on Control and Automation (ICCA), 2011Faulty operation of HVAC systems can lead to discomfort for the occupants, energy wastage, unreliability and shorter equipment life. Cost-effective Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) methods can therefore ensure an increase in the system uptime, reliability, and overall efficiency.

Information-Theoretic Pilot Design for Downlink Channel Estimation in FDD Massive MIMO Systems
IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2019Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is one of the most promising techniques for next generation wireless communications due to its superior capability to provide high spectrum and energy efficiency. Considering the very large number of antennas

Tracking FDD Massive MIMO Downlink Channels by Exploiting Delay and Angular Reciprocity
IEEE Journal on Selected Topics in Signal Processing, 2019The massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology considerably enhances the spectral efficiency of a wireless communication system. However, it suffers from substantial performance degradation caused by the movement of users and the difficulty

Performance of a WCDMA FDD Cellular Multihop Network
2005 IEEE 16th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2006Cellular multihop networks have the potential to decrease power consumption, increase coverage and/or enable higher data rates. We propose using in-band transmissions for the connection between a fixed repeating device and the cellular base station. A user connected via the repeater use one frequency band (fq2) for the communication to the repeater and
