Coherent TDOA/FDOA estimation method for frequency-hopping signal

2016 8th International Conference on Wireless Communications & Signal Processing (WCSP), 2016
Considering the limited FDOA estimation performance for frequency-hopping signal, a coherent accumulation method is developed in this paper. The method normalizes the FDOA of every hopping pulse and then accumulates all these modified CAFs coherently.

An on-the-Fly FDOA-based Target Localization System

2020 IEEE 11th Latin American Symposium on Circuits & Systems (LASCAS), 2020
Differential Doppler measurements can be used to localize an emitter. The performance of this approach, also known as Frequency Difference of Arrival (FDOA), can be affected by the accuracy of frequency measurements, usually carried out by a digital receiver.

One intelligent algorithm for estimation of TDOA and FDOA

2014 IEEE 7th Joint International Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Conference, 2014
The calculation is large to estimate the TDOA and FDOA with cross ambiguity function. Existing algorithms which are based on the ergodic theory have poor real-time performance. To solve this problem, the genetic algorithm is proposed with improvements based on the characteristics of cross ambiguity function.

Optimal Sensor Placement and Velocity Configuration for TDOA–FDOA Localization and Tracking of a Moving Source

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems
This article addresses the problem of moving source localization in 3-D using the time-difference-of-arrival and frequency-difference-of-arrival measurements without accurate sensor location information.

Passive Emitter Localisation Using TDOA and FDOA Measurements from UAV

2020 IEEE International Conference for Innovation in Technology (INOCON), 2020
This paper addresses the joint time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA) measurements for a passive emitter location using cross ambiguity function (CAF). The TDOA and FDOA measurements obtained from moving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are sent to the ground station for finding the peak of the CAF using grid ...

Regularized Constrained Total Least Squares Source Localization Using TDOA and FDOA Measurements

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters
This letter investigates source localization using time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA). The improper distribution of the sensors can lead to a numerical ill-conditioning of the coefficient matrix, adversely ...

Optimal Sensor Velocity Configuration for TDOA-FDOA Geolocation

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2017
This paper establishes the velocity orientation requirements for dual or multiple mobile sensors to achieve optimal localization of a stationary emitter, based on TDOA and FDOA measurements. In one approach, optimal velocities are obtained by maximizing the determinant of the Fisher Information Matrix (FIM).

A Computationally Efficient FDOA Estimation Method for Radar Pulse Train

2019 IEEE International Conference on Signal, Information and Data Processing (ICSIDP), 2019
Concerned with high pressure of data transmission and heavy computation load for the FDOA estimation for radar pulse signal, a novel fast estimation method based on data compression transmission (DCT) is proposed. Firstly, in order to add the max complex-value corresponding to every pulse's amplitude-frequency response to the pulse description word ...
