On‐Surface Indigo‐Based Bimolecular Coordination Networks with Programmable Regular or Vitreous Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

Magnetic properties optimization of Zr/Fe dual amorphous phase bulk metallic glasses

open access: yesRevista UIS Ingenierías, 2019
The dual amorphous phase bulk metallic glasses (DAPBMGs) contain two distinct amorphous alloys in order to bring together all the favorable properties of each phase. A viable method for obtaining dual bulk amorphous alloys is powder metallurgy.

Structural and magneto-transport characterization of Co_2Cr_xFe_(1-x)Al Heusler alloy films

open access: yes, 2006
We investigate the structure and magneto-transport properties of thin films of the Co_2Cr_xFe_(1-x)Al full-Heusler compound, which is predicted to be a half-metal by first-principles theoretical calculations.

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Emergent Spin‐Glass Behavior in an Iron(II)‐Based Metal–Organic Framework Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A one‐pot, solvent‐free synthesis yields an Fe2+‐based metal‐organic framework (MOF) glass featuring a continuous random network structure. The material exhibits spin‐glass freezing at 14 K, driven by topological‐disorder and short‐range magnetic frustration, showcasing the potential of MOF glasses as a plattform for cooperative magnetic phenomena in ...

Magnetic Properties of Fe-Based Amorphous/Nanocrystalline Alloy Bilayer Ribbon.

open access: yesJournal of the Magnetics Society of Japan, 1996
Abstract An Fe-based amorphous/nanocrystalline bilayer ribbon was prepared by a combination of rapid quenching and subsequent annealing. The B  H loop exhibits low coercivity and a reversible change in magnetic induction which is quite different from the two-step B  H loop of lap-wound monolayer ribbons.

Solar Heating Enhanced Selective Recovery of Metal Ions Through Flowing Electrodes Enabled by Hybrid Carbon Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A new electrochemical system based on a microporous hybrid of carbon nanoplatelets and nanotubes to selectively capture Ni2+ from wastewater is constructed. The system temperature rises rapidly when irradiated with sunlight, which enhances the Ni2+ removal rate by 250% and the selectivity by 53%, and the energy consumption is also reduced by 51 ...

DISPLACED HYSTERESIS LOOPS IN ANNEALED Fe-BASED AMORPHOUS ALLOYS

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 2001
We report the displaced hysteresis loops in the annealed amorphous alloys Fe65.9Cr11.6Si7.5B15 and Fe60Co5.9Cr11.6Si7.5B15. The effects of measuring field Hm, temperature T and time t on the displacement HD have been studied. On the basis of the magnetostatic interaction between the hard particle resulting from the annealing and the residual amorphous ...
