Epitaxial growth of Fe/Mo/Fe(111) and Fe/Cr/Fe(111) on Si(111)

Journal of Materials Research, 1993
Epitaxial body-centered cubic Mo and Cr films have been grown on the (111) surface of α–Fe films on Si(111) at 300 and 575 K by electron beam evaporation in ultrahigh vacuum. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy show that the Mo films are oriented with the (111) plane parallel to the α-Fe(111) plane and with the Mo[1$\overline 1$0 ...

Structural and magnetic analysis of MBE-grown Fe/Si/Fe and Fe/Ge/Fe sandwiches

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1997
Abstract The structure and the interlayer exchange coupling in MBE-grown nominal Fe/Ge1−xFex/Fe(x=0.0, 0.25, 0.33, 0.5) and Fe/Si/Fe sandwiches with wedge-shaped spacer layers were investigated. In the case of Fe/Si a sample with a wedge-shaped magnetic layer was also studied. From a structural analysis with LEED and from a magnetic analysis with the

2018
Results are presented from magnetic and magnetooptical studies of the magnetic configurations in a three-layer film Fe(30?????)/Si(14?????)/Fe(30?????) in which ferromagnetic and biquadratic exchange between iron layers is observed and which also possesses cubic and uniaxial anisotropy. These studies were done at temperatures of 300 and 10 K.

Nanocrystalline Fe and Fe-riched Fe-Ni through electrodeposition

Nanostructured Materials, 1999
Abstract There is a constant need for new softer magnetic materials, especially with high saturation moments. A number of studies have shown that by decreasing the average crystal size of a material below 20 nm, it is possible to reduce its magnetic losses.

2020
The process of formation of the ??-Fe solid solution crystals at constant-rate heating the Fe??????B?????? amorphous alloy has been studied by means of X-ray diffractometry, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and resistance measurements. The experimental data have been analyzed using the proposed analytical model based on combination of Kolmogorov

Alloy powders in the Fe—Cu, Fe—Cr, Fe—Mn, and Fe—Cr—Mn systems

Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics, 1998
Studies have been done on iron-copper, iron-chromium, iron-manganese, and iron-chromium-manganese powder alloys, which have been made by dispersing the melts with high-pressure nitrogen. The use of such alloys in the preparation of low-alloy construction materials eases the stringent specifications for the oxidation potential of the controlled gas ...

2017
Great interest to of multilayer magnetic structures since the middle 80s of the 20th century has been originated by a pronounced progress in production of superthin metallic films. For some years their fascinating (from fundamental and applied standpoints) properties, such as antiparallel ordering of ferromagnetic layers, giant magnetoresistance, sign ...

An Iron Complex with an Unsupported Fe–Fe Bond

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2009
AbstractFull metal bonding: The reduction of a six‐coordinate, mononuclear Werner‐type iron(II) complex (see scheme) resulted in the isolation of a compound with an extraordinarily rare, unsupported Fe–Fe bond having an experimental Fe–Fe distance of 2.6869(6) Å and a calculated bond order of 0.5.magnified ...
