Effect of Boride Incubation Time During the Formation of Fe2B Phase [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2017
Our present study focuses on the numerical simulation of the boronized layer growth kinetics on the iron substrate of the XC38 steel, the boronizing treatment is performed in a liquid medium composed of borax and silicon carbide. We mainly calculated the

O2 Activation at an Enzymatic Diiron Site: Bridging Ligand Substitutions Alter Diferric-(Hydro)peroxo States. [PDF]

open access: yesAngew Chem Int Ed Engl
Substituting the bridging carboxylates in diFe sulerythrin shifts the bridging ligand coordination from 1,3‐carboxylate to 1,1‐carboxylate, yielding all three diferrous bridging motifs in one protein. This shortens the Fe–Fe distance and increases reactivity with O2.

Bimetallic M2B Boride Nanoparticles: A Robust and Recyclable Platform for Dehydration-Driven Condensation of Aldehydes. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistryOpen
Metal borides (MBs) emerge as a versatile class of nanomaterials, featuring high stability and bifunctional Lewis‐acidic/basic active sites. Despite these properties, their applications in CN bond formation are less explored. Herein, we report the first systematic use of M2B‐type boride nanoparticles as efficient and magnetically recoverable catalysts

Confrontation of linear versus nonlinear approach in Fe2B boridelayer thickness predictions

open access: yesZaštita Materijala
Kinetic studies of boride layers focus on trying to accurately predict their thicknesses according to some variables using different approaches. In this paper, an approach that is reliant on a multilinear regression is investigated.

Fe2B magnetic nanoparticles: Photocatalytic activity towards degradation of Bisphenol A

open access: yesCeramics International, 2022
Plasticizers such as Bisphenol A (BPA) are highly persistent organic pollutants that are present in raw water as well as in effluents from wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) at levels of parts per trillion (ng L-1) with a high potential to cause carcinogenic and teratogenic effects in the aquatic environment.

Simple model and integral method for simulating the growth of the borided layer FeB/Fe2B on the AISI H13 steel

open access: yesZaštita Materijala, 2023
The prediction of boride layer growth kinetics requires the development of a mathematical model. In the present study, two diffusion models (a simple model and an integral method-based model) were proposed to investigate the boriding kinetics of pack ...

Geometric isomers of dichloridoiron(III) complexes of CTMC (5,7,12,14‐tetramethyl‐1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecane)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section C, Volume 78, Issue 9, Page 507-514, September 2022., 2022
Dichloridoiron(III) complexes of two stereoisomers of a tetraazamacrocycle are examined. The stereoisomerism of the macrocycle is shown to determine the geometric isomerism of the resulting metal complex, and these results are compared to relevant previous reports. Both trans and cis iron–CTMC complexes, namely, trans‐dichlorido[(5SR,7RS,12RS,14SR)‐5,7 ...
