Boride layers on high-carbon high-chromium tool steels: Microstructure-mechanical properties relationship

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
High-carbon high-alloyed steels (Sleipner, K 190, Sverker 21, Sverker 3) were boronised at 1323 K for 10 h. The layers that developed were composed of FeB and Fe2B phases.

O2‐Aktivierung an einem enzymatischen diFe‐Zentrum: Brückenligand‐Substitutionen ändern die Fe(II)/Fe(II) (Hydro)peroxo‐Bindung

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 5, 28 January 2026.

Development of Innovative Method of Steel Surface Hardening by a Combined Chemical-thermal Treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The aim of the article is a hardening of the surface steel layers due to the combination treatment. Samples of steel 38Cr2MoAl were hardened by complex chemical and thermal treatment such as carburizing and subsequent boriding.

Selective Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Phenol to Benzoquinone via Water Splitting Using a Nonprecious Metal‐Based Electrocatalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
A green process has been developed utilizing electrochemistry to convert inexpensive, readily available phenol derived from lignin into para‐benzoquinone, a valuable chemical widely used in the manufacturing and chemical industries. For the first time, a novel electrocatalytic oxidation system is achieved with high 96.2% conversion of phenols to para ...

Photocatalytic degradation of diclofenac in wastewater using ironceramic composites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The photocatalytic degradation of diclofenac in model aqueous solution is investigated. The surface of composites were correlated with photocatalytic activity. Adsorption activity of the composites is related to the presence of surface active sites.
