Cumulative Social Disadvantage and Disease Activity in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: A Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Registry Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Social determinants of health (SDOH) contribute to juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) disparities, but most studies have assessed SDOH independently rather than cumulatively across individual, family, and neighborhood levels. Using a socioecological framework, we investigated the relationship among cumulative social disadvantage ...

Adsorption of As(III) on chitosan-Fe-crosslinked complex (Ch-Fe)

open access: yesChemosphere, 2011
It was reported the adsorption of As(III) on the surface of the chitosan-Fe-crosslinked complex. Theoretical correlation of the experimental equilibrium adsorption data for As(III)/Ch-Fe system is best explained by the non-linearized form Langmuir-Freundlich isotherm model.

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Discrete Rh-III/Fe-II and Rh-III/Fe-II/Co-III cyanide-bridged mixed valence compounds

open access: yes, 2010
The heterotrinuclear complexes trans- and cis-[{cis-VI-L(15)Rh(III)(μ-NC)}{trans-III-L(14S)Co(III)(μ-NC)}Fe(II)(CN)(4)](2+) are unprecedented examples of mixed valence complexes based on ferrocyanide bearing three different metal centers. These complexes

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Characterization of phenolic exudates from Phaeodactylum tricornutum and their effects on the chemistry of Fe(II)-Fe(III)

open access: yes, 2014
The effect of exudates from Phaeodactylum tricornutum on the iron chemistry has been studied at pH 8.0 and 7.5 in seawater and seawater enrichment with the diatom exudates.
