Redox cycling of Fe(II) and Fe(III) in magnetite by Fe-metabolizing bacteria

Science, 2015
Building a biogeochemical battery Iron acts as both a source and sink of electrons for microorganisms in the environment. Some anaerobic bacteria use oxidized Fe(III) as an electron acceptor, whereas phototrophic bacteria can use reduced Fe(II) as an electron donor. Byrne et al.

Interaction of citrate with Fe(III)-bleomycin

International Journal of Biochemistry, 1989
1. Citrate binds to Fe(III)-bleomycin, removing the ferric ion from the iron-drug complex; a reaction that may be of physiological significance. 2. Low concentrations of citrate markedly enhance the rate of iron transfer from Fe(III)-bleomycin to apotransferrin; an iron binding plasma protein.

Study of influence of constant magnetic field (CMF) upon structure and specific capacities of composites on the base of polyepoxy and one from metal oxides (Al2O3, Fe2O3) or their mixture with polyaniline had fulfilled. Cary out investigations show the effectiveness application of CMF for change of structure of composites, filled such as dispersed and ...

Investigation of carbamazepine-Fe(III) and 10,11 dihydroxcycarbamazepine-Fe(III) interactions with spectrophotometric method [Karbamazapin -Fe(III) ve 10,11 Dihidroksikarbamazapine-Fe(III) Etkileşimlerinin Spektrofotımetrik Yöntemle İncelenmesi]

2022
Carbamazepine (CBZ) is an antiepileptic drug, with a structure similar to imipramine. In this study, chemical interaction of carbamazepine and 10,11 dihydroxycarbamazepine (CBZ-diol) which is one of the most important metabolites of carbamazepine with Fe(III) were investigated in in-vitro media in order to examine anemia owing to iron deficiency.

2015
Double layered hydroxides Mg???Fe (III) (LDH) have been synthesized and modified with thermal treatment (331, 379, 453, 546 ??C). Reconstruction of the initial LDH structure by rehydratation has been investigated. It was found that reconstruction by rehydratation took place only for samples which have been thermally treated at 331, 379 ??C.
