Safety and Efficacy of GLP‐1 Receptor Agonists in Adults With Epilepsy, Obesity, and Type 2 Diabetes
ABSTRACT Objective Managing obesity in patients with epilepsy is complicated by the weight‐gaining properties of essential antiseizure medications (ASMs) such as valproate and pregabalin. We evaluated the safety and efficacy of initiating glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RAs) in this population.

White Matter and Perivascular Imaging Changes in Alzheimer's Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy
ABSTRACT Objective Peak‐width of skeletonized mean diffusivity (PSMD) and diffusion tensor imaging–analysis along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS), reflecting white matter integrity and glymphatic function, are altered in Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Pumping the Periosteum: A Feasibility Study
Annals of Plastic Surgery, 2022Purpose Gradual elevation of periosteum from the bone surface is known to promote the adaptation of soft tissues and the formation of hard tissues. The aim of our study was to estimate the benefit of periosteal distraction osteogenesis (PDO) on de novo bone formation in a rat model.

Telemicrobiology: Feasibility Study
Telemedicine Journal, 1998Rural hospitals generally lack staffing with infectious disease specialists or pathologists. Without on-site pathologists, the range of microbiology services offered by clinical laboratories may be limited as well.To study the feasibility of using static-image telepathology to evaluate Gram stains of microbiologic preparations. In this retrospective ...

Is a cancelled project a bad project? After surveying about 8,000 IT projects, the Standish Group reported that about 30 percent of all projects were cancelled ("Charting the Seas of Information Technology", 1994). Capers Jones reports that the average cancelled project in the US is about a year behind schedule and has consumed 200 percent of its ...

A feasibility study is carried out on some small, many medium and almost all large process control systems. The process owner, user or designer may use this study to formulate, state or clear up the main points of a future computerized process. The results may be described as follows: — the ways and means of process computerization to obtain ...

This research investigated the technical feasibility of metal- organic frameworks (MOFs) as novel delivery systems for adsorption and controlled release of volatile allyl isothiocyanate (AITC) molecules. We hypothesized that water vapor molecules could act as an external stimulus to trigger the release of AITC molecules adsorbed in MOFs.
